SINGLE DENTAL IMPLANTS

A single dental implant can be the best choice to replace a single missing tooth for patients.
Dental implants are designed to replace the lost function of a natural tooth by providing a long term fixed solution that also mimics the aesthetic of a natural tooth as well as the function of it.

A thorough consultation with an experienced dental implant dentist at Oradent is required to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for dental implants. During your consultation, we will thoroughly evaluate your oral health, bone density of the jaw and medical history to develop a custom treatment plan that meets your specific goals.

ADVANTAGES OF SINGLE DENTAL IMPLANTS

  • Long-term, permanent results

  • Completion of treatment in as little as two visits

  • All-inclusive – implant, abutment and crown from only £2000

  • Flexible financing options, available

  • Natural Look: A single dental implant matches the appearance and feel of your natural teeth, allowing you to have a beautiful restoration of your smile again.
  • Functionality: You will have improved chewing and improved speech compared to how you speak or chew with missing teeth.
  • Long-lasting: A single dental implant provides a strong and secure long-lasting solution.
  • Protection of Healthy Teeth: A single, individual dental implant will not require you to restructure surrounding healthy teeth as is the case with traditional bridges.
  • Bone Preservation: Dentists believe there is a correlation between the use of dental implants and the maintenance of jawbone density.
  • Maintenance: Dental implants can be maintained like any other natural tooth with regular brushing and flossing. An annual review of your single dental implant is recommended.
  • Long-Term Success Rate: With proper care, single dental implants have a very high long-term success rate.
  • Improved Confidence: Restore your smile to enhance your confidence level with a cosmetic solution that is as comfortable as it is natural.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR DENTAL IMPLANT PROCEDURES?

Consultation

You will meet with your implant surgeon at Oradent to discuss your options for treatment and receive a personalised treatment plan including costs. Any necessary preparatory work such as CT scans will be scheduled before your next visit.

Placement of Implant

During the first stage of the dental implant procedure, the implant will be placed in your jawbone with the gum tissue secured over it to allow integration. Temporary teeth can still be worn at this time if desired.

Two Week Review

Following the insertion of your single dental implant, you will see your dentist for a two week check-up where they will evaluate the healing process and remove any sutures if needed.

Second Stage (3-6 months)

The implant will be exposed with a small metal abutment placed on top of the implant so that the implant will be visible above the gum line. You can continue to wear your temporary teeth during this phase.

Digital Records

Two weeks later, clinicians take digital records to establish the exact position of the implant and to create a crown that will be manufactured by a dental laboratory.

Crown Fit

The dentist then fits the custom-designed implant crown, ensuring the fit of the crown and the bite. This is also an opportunity to make any adjustments before securing it to the implant. After the crown is fitted, the dentist will review the crown for comfort and appearance.
The dentist, finally, recommends you to return for a review appointment in the next six months following the placement of the implant and then every six to twelve months following that to check on the implant and the bone supporting it.
